About Spotlight
On October 26, 2011 Spotlight will go unplugged once again - this year featuring an acoustic performance by GRAMMY and JUNO Award winning Canadian recording artist, Alannah Myles. With a limited seating capacity of 340 at the CBC Glenn Gould Studio, the evening promises to continue the intimate, up close and personal type of experience for which Spotlight has become known. Supporters of Fife House, music lovers and Alannah Myles fans will gather in an inviting and creative atmosphere for an evening of entertainment, food and fun that is certain to create a memorable evening for everyone.
Conceived as the launch of the Performers For Life campaign several years ago, Spotlight has become an event in its own right. Live entertainment, cocktails, a silent auction and scrumptious food have all come to define this performance based event. Performers from Toronto’s vast array of talent have lent their voices and talents to entertain guests over the years, including performances by Mark Masri, Micah Barnes, Hayley Sales and Kellylee Evans in 2010.
